Description We are actively searching for a Controller to join our team in Chester, Virginia. In this role, you will be handling crucial financial tasks such as managing the General Ledger, Cost Accounting, and Financial Reporting. This role also involves analyzing revenue and overseeing the accounting close process. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the General Ledger

• Handle Cost Accounting tasks with precision and accuracy

• Generate Financial Reports and provide insights based on the data

• Conduct Revenue Analysis to understand and improve financial performance

• Manage the Accounting close process efficiently

• Communicate financial performance to relevant stakeholders in the organization

• Utilize tools such as S4/HANA, SAP, and Oracle for financial tasks and reporting. Requirements • Demonstrated experience in General Ledger management

• Proficiency in Cost Accounting practices and methods

• Clear expertise in Financial Reporting

• Solid understanding of the Accounting close process

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role

• Accounting certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) is beneficial

• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines

• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices

• Excellent knowledge of statutory legislation and regulations

• Strong leadership skills with a commitment to driving and achieving results.
