Safe Corridors Team Leader in Chester, Pennsylvania
Job Summary:
The Safe Corridors Team Leader plays a necessary role in being the secondary level of leadership for the site based Safe Corridors team. This position involves a consistent application of trauma informed training, the ability and willingness to de-escalate interactions between students, the ability to effectively and professionally communicate both verbally and in writing, proactive implementation of safety measures, and the ability to follow directions as shared by the Site Coordinator. The Team Leader should be able to seamlessly stand in for the Site Coordinator on an as-needed basis.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Communication:
- Facilitate communication between school staff, Safety Advocates, students and parents.

``` - Addressing concerns with Safety Advocate performance in a professional, actions-oriented way.

``` - Provide updates regarding Safety Advocates involvement with students, staff, and parents- as needed.

``` - Verbally communicate and reinforce expectations with Safety Advocate team.

``` - Share written communication on a weekly basis reflecting attendance, incident involvement, as well as any areas of concern and celebration for your team.

``` - Use a 24-hour deadline for escalating concerns in writing to your supervisors (Director of Operations and Chief of Operations).
Supervision:
- Oversee the deployment and activities of Safety Advocates during arrival and dismissal to ensure proper execution of safety protocols during the contracted hours for your site.

``` - Use shared goals to align Safety Advocate performance with expectations.

``` - Consistently provide feedback from observations of your team members to ensure that expectations are being met or exceeded.

``` - Respond to the needs of your team in a timely fashion.

``` - Respond to the needs of the Director of Operations within the same business day.

``` - Ensure delegated tasks get completed within the expected timeframe/ meet the deadlines shared with you.

``` - Share posts and break schedule of Safety Advocates with the Director of Operations, on a weekly basis.

``` - Follow chain of command when escalating concerns or celebrations ( Director of Operations is your first line of communication.)
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with your team in a solutions-oriented way to enhance preventative safety measures through daily morning huddles and once a week feedback meeting.

``` - Consistently and effectively collaborate with school staff to integrate Safe Corridors initiatives into the broader school safety plan.
