Watershed Security Shipboard IT Installation Coordinator with Active DoD Secret Clearance in Chesapeake, Virginia

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Advise on best practices for the implementation of Cloud components, tools, dashboards, and automation
Work team of SMEs to develop architecture and design drawings for migration effort
Lead implementation of cloud environment
Interact with external partners and agencies to engineer interconnections between different enclaves
Provide input into project schedule development
Assist other SMEs in the preparation of Installation guides for an enterprise environment
Technical Lead for all other engineers for the cloud migration effort
Provide input into migration project schedule
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Must possess current IAT II or higher security certification in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M
Must have or be able to get within 6 months of hire, an appropriate Computing Environment or vendor certification for associated communications equipment being supported in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M
Must have 5 or more years of progressive IT experience, preferably with planning IT system rollouts or deployments
Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Must be detail-oriented and organized and can multi-task various duties at any time
Must have a positive, professional approach to all communications always
Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higer
Preferred/Desired
Security
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project preferred
Experience working with Navy customers preferred
Responsibilities of this position also include, but are not limited to:
Initiate non-POR installation process after receiving request. This includes requests to begin onboard tech assist (OBTA) approval requests with Military Sealift Command (MSC), submit installation/travel requests, coordinate non-POR equipment requests for server/workstation builds with warehouse and lab, creating overtime requests and submit as needed for installation teams, and confirming all requests are completed
Review Daily Status Reports (DSR) daily to track installation progress and identify possible change requests needed
Work with teams on C4S Installation Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) procedural compliance, while ensuring SOP and software delivery to team and ship. Compile any lessons learned from current and prior installations
Work with Quality Assurance/Quality Control for ship check scheduling and/or participation
Work with Installation Manager on current and future project development by providing input for all Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), tracking current and future installation planning and progress, and reporting to Installation Project Coordinator and Installation Manager as needed
Attending mandatory, annual training sessions
Providing regular status reports to management summarizing progress, challenges, metrics, and recommendations
Collaborating with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination
Attending recurring team meetings or huddles
Assisting in the development of new initiatives
