HR Support Services Specialist

Dollar Tree’s Human Resource Support Services Team is responsible for updating and verifying the associate records for a company with 200,000+ employees. All changes including personal data, position and location moves, pay increases, hiring and terminations flow through the team and are audited for accuracy. The team supports Field and DC HR management, corporate management, corporate teams, and all associates.

Duty and Responsibilities

  • Audit, update, and execute personnel record transactions with a high degree of accuracy and speed.

  • Complete or assist with the following tasks: managing the company’s I9 compliancy process including reporting, training, and follow up; complete Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) audits, The Bureau of Labor Statistics reporting, and Employment Separation Letters.

  • Evaluate and fulfil Verifications of Employment and Verifications of Income for vendor submission or team completion

  • Produce comprehensive personnel files for our Legal and Risk teams, subpoenas, third-party and associate requests.

  • Support Field leadership, Field HR Managers and DC HR Managers by resolving entry errors, providing training documentation and phone support, and troubleshooting entries for conflicts and compliance.

  • Support corporate teams including Benefits, Unemployment, Associate Relations, Onboarding, Operations and Payroll by researching and providing accurate data and reporting for resolutions.

  • Meet audit and task deadlines consistently.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality.

  • Manage up to 4 email boxes and one service ticketing system, averaging several hundred requests per week.

  • Validate associate SSNs using the SSA website and associate eligibility for corporate programs.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • 1 or more year experience in high volume/fast paced retail or corporate environment

  • Excellent data entry skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Effective in organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks and projects

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly
