Job Title: Inventory Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Specialist to join our dynamic team in a Distribution Warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a strong inventory control and cycle counting, with the ability to operate various warehouse management systems and equipment. This role requires flexibility and the ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Responsibilities
Manage and control inventory within the Distribution Warehouse.
Conduct cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
Operate Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Utilize RF Scan Gun for inventory tracking.
Perform data entry and maintain records using Excel and Word.
Operate a forklift (preferred but not required).
Adapt to various tasks and responsibilities as needed.
Lift and move items up to 40 pounds.
Balance time between computer work and walking (50% each).
Essential Skills
Previous experience in inventory control and cycle counting within a Distribution Warehouse.
Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Proficiency in using RF Scan Gun.
Strong computer skills, including Excel and Word.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with food products (preferred).
Forklift operation skills (preferred).
Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as required.

Work Environment
This position is based in a climate-controlled warehouse environment. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM.

This is a Contract position based out of Chesapeake, Virginia.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00
