Job Title: Inside Machinist

Job Description

Looking for a CNC machinist with programming and editing experience. The position is based in a secured shop setting in Chesapeake, VA. The ideal candidate has at least 4+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment. This is a contract-to-hire position.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines including both mills and lathes as well as manual equipment.

• Read and interpret blueprints.

• Use precision measuring tools like micrometers and calipers.

• Solve math problems on the spot.

• Ensure the quality of machined parts through precision measurements.

Essential Skills

• Experience with CNC machines and manual lathe equipment.

• Proficiency in programming and editing CNC machines.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

• Experience with precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.

• Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

• No specific certifications required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $31.00
