*Estimator *JOB DESCRIPTION

*FLSA Classification: Exempt *Reports to: President **Review Date: May 1, 2024 Salary Starting at: $100,000.00

**[Summary/Objective [Identify and pursue prospective opportunities for Syncon through development of detailed cost analysis in accordance with industry best practices. This position requires someone who has expert level knowledge and experience in the Construction Design / Build industry and the ability to perform detailed and accurate complex mathematical analysis and read/understanding drawings/specifications.

Negotiate contracts, maintain the stipulated fee and general conditions by careful and exact scoping of both SYNCON and subcontractor/vendor work.

Review the specifications and drawings, select sub trades, and send out the bid request.

Manage and develop subcontractor relationships during all stages of the bid process.

Review details of the contract documents, drawings, specs, and proposal schedule development. Make recommendations and reassess the initial pursuit ranking (1 -5) and make changes as necessary.

Identify and develop risk management related to the estimate.

Schedule time with Executives for Project overview and GC review prior to bid day.

Review all quotes for accuracy.

Coordinate with Design Team on RFI's, design requirements/deliverables and throughout the Design process until 100% design documents and buyout are complete.

Maintain a detailed and functional spreadsheet for Project.

Help improving Pre-Construction Processes between various departments.

Assist with maintaining the estimating schedule to effectively manage personnel and departmental timelines to support the estimating production requirements.
