Job Title: Facilities Tech/HVAC

Job Description

Facility Technician loads and unloads equipment, performs basic preventative maintenance and minor repairs in the safest and most effective way possible to avoid equipment downtime.

Hard Skills

• Repairing and maintaining Power/HVAC/Compressor/Pump equipment and accessories

• Basic knowledge of generators, power distribution, A/C, Heater, HVAC, and Diesel driven Pumps

• Basic understanding of diesel equipment, electronics, and hydraulics

• Operational process/system aptitude

• Troubleshooting

• Preventative Maintenance

• Generator

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Virginia Beach, Virginia for training then report to Newport News

Work Environment

Will be working in shop at their Chesapeake location to start. Will then be working in Newport News Shipyard/HII to help maintain their rental HVAC equipment. The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 25 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
