Senior Service Engineer, Glaston America, Inc., Cherry Hill, New Jersey. May telecommute (work from home) from anywhere in the U.S. and report to Cherry Hill, NJ company location. Install and provide technical support for demanding, high-precision glass processing equipment cases. Provide emergency field service for Glaston machinery like HTF Super, ProE Magnum, RC 200, RC 350, FC 500, RC and FC Series flat tempering lines and SBF ScreenMax automotive lines. Diagnose and troubleshoot machine repairs. Install, start-up, and commission new machinery. Instruct customers on site in machine operation, safety, and maintenance. Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs. Provide technical support to customers. Train and mentor technical personnel, including other Glaston employees. Train client machine operators and maintenance workers. Mentor and provide solutions to colleagues when project questions arise. Process glass specialist tasks. Process complicated glasses for market consumption. Set up recipes for all types of hard and soft coated glass. Create new recipes for hard and soft coated glass based on client needs. Provide remote support to clients. Work M-F, 8am - 4:30pm with overtime and weekend work as needed. Requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or related field or foreign equivalent. Requires ten (10) years of electrical or mechanical engineering and maintenance experience to include ten (10) years with the following: utilizing Finnish based heat treatment technologies including glass tempering and glass laminating; reading electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical blueprints; utilizing PLC Logic and CNC systems; utilizing electrical and mechanical tools including Beckoff and Abb diagnostic tools; performing electronics troubleshooting; and maintaining equipment such as vibration meters. Requires 80% domestic travel and 20% international travel to visit unanticipated customer sites and other Glaston locations globally for machine maintenance, installs, and upgrades.
