Job Title: Service Technician
Job Description
This role involves troubleshooting and repairing units both at customer sites and within the facility. Technicians are responsible for the delivery, installation, and servicing of various equipment rented by clients. They will diagnose complex mechanical and electrical equipment problems, perform advanced repairs, and provide customer solutions. Additionally, they may lead and train other team members in the absence of a Shop Foreman or Service Manager.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and diesel equipment, including generators, HVAC systems, and air compressors.
Diagnose and repair complex equipment issues both on-site and at the facility.
Deliver, install, and service rental equipment for customers.
Scope customer needs and provide effective solutions.
Lead and train other team members in equipment repair in the absence of supervisory staff.
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Repair down fleet equipment to keep it operational.
Essential Skills
Advanced understanding and repair of mechanical, electrical, and diesel equipment.
Mastery of load bank repairs.
Advanced understanding of electrical engines and controllers up to 480V.
Advanced operation of dehumidification equipment from CDI and Munters.
Experience with VFDs, VSDs, soft starts, and 'across the line' motor starting.
EPA Certification (active).
5-7 years of experience with repairing and maintaining Pump & Power equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Some factory training in diesel, generator, compressor, and HVAC.
DOT Physical Examination (Medical card) preferred.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (operation of basic box truck required).

Work Environment
1st Shift - Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The role requires reporting to the facility daily and dispatching out to clients as needed. Physical demands include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors as required by the job.
