Job Description:
The Head of Risk Management, Liquidity is accountable for driving the liquidity strategy for the US which includes delivering on the implementation of polices, practices, and procedures to ensure governance and statutory compliance.
Depth & Scope:
Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required
Monitors and assesses Liquidity risk across TDS US and AMCB through the identification, understanding, control and ongoing review of these risks
Leads key liquidity initiatives including Framework and Policy reviews, liquidity assumption reviews, and second line oversight of liquidity stress testing framework and implementation
Maintenance of Liquidity Risk Appetite Statements for TDGUS/CUSO, and US Board-level risk Policies and Frameworks
Understands and complies with TD policies, regulatory, and compliance requirements
Develops key risk metrics, collaborating with various stakeholders to develop risk measurement methodologies, providing independent review of behavioral and other assumptions used in risk measurement, and monitoring market risk limits calibrated to TDGUS/CUSO Risk Appetite
Designs and maintains risk dashboards to represent liquidity market risks in the Bank to senior management and Board Committees
Regulatory interactions and responsibilities including periodic meetings with the FRB and OCC through regular interaction and through formal meetings and examinations
Risk reporting including strategy, appetite and results
Education & Experience:
Undergraduate or Masters degree in a qualified or related field
10+ Years of Experience in Risk Management specifically as it relates to managing Liquidity
Critical thinking/strategic planning
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders
Quantitative expertise across a wide variety of domains
Expert analysis and risk assessment
Lead a team of subject matter experts
Talent management and development
Expert market knowledge across asset classes and businesses at TD
Provide effective challenge to Liquidity management
Balanced judgment
