Job Overview:

As an AVEVA Engineering Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining AVEVA Engineering software. Your tasks will include configuring, customizing, optimizing, and supporting AVEVA Engineering environment to guarantee a smooth and efficient project execution.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • System Configuration and Customization:

  • Configure AVEVA Engineering software according to project requirements

  • Collaborate with project teams to define and implement project-specific configurations

  • Configure database views and database view sets for the required grids & datasheets templates as per project requirements

  • Configure Intelligent lists and reports as per project requirements

  • Configure datasheets templates and grids as per project requirements

  • Develop/maintain Data model with the required class, class association, attributes and decorations based on the project requirements

  • Configure Revision and Status Control and assign them as per project requirements

  • Assist in populating data in AVEVA Engineering

  • Configure TMS or TMR Setup based on project requirements

  • Assist/ Create AVEVA project with the needed databases, teams, users, dB sets , MDBs and ACRs

  • Develop automation enhancements

  • Create PML macros/functions, buttons as per the project requirement

  • Create PBS as per project requirements

  • Implement Naming Convention based on project requirements

  • Capable of handling global AVEVA projects

  • Possess a Strong knowledge in AVEVA Dabacon

  • Workflow Development

  • Collaborate with engineering discipline teams to model and optimize workflows within the AVEVA Engineering platform. Through following department and client workflows and standards

  • Provide technical support to users and troubleshoot issues related to software tools and workflows.

  • Integration and Collaboration

  • Collaborate with other software systems (e.g. AVEVA E3D, AVEVA diagrams, AVEVA instrumentation…) to enable seamless data exchange and integration, while maintaining a single source of truth

  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team including process, mechanical, civil-structural, electrical, instrumentation, and CAD support

  • Conduct training sessions for users to enhance their expertise in utilizing the software effectively

  • Documentation

  • Develop /Maintain thorough documentation of software configurations and best practices

  • Develop detailed project work instructions and guides to support user onboarding and knowledge transfer

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Degree in engineering or equivalent technical diploma

  • Strong understanding of current Engineering and design

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in Engineering software Administration of which 2 years should be in the use of Aveva Engineering. Utilizes current systems technology, tools and processes to achieve these aims

  • Good understanding of engineering principles, design processes, and data management practices

  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and clients

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently

  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to engineering data management

  • Certified Aveva Engineering Administrator is preferred
