Job Overview

Program Management involves is responsible for the program’s results by selecting and coordinating the efforts of several projects that contribute to goal-based opportunities for improvement. This roles collaborates across project teams that may have conflicting goals of their own and mitigates risk by recommending solutions from various project teams that enable the organization to best achieve the program’s overall goals. They define and communicate program milestones to participating projects and hold project teams accountable for meeting objectives related to the program. Resolves issues and conflicts while promoting the benefits of the program’s outcome. Able to adapt in the event of missed goals or poor measurement results.

What you will be doing:

  • Playing a key role on a collaborative project team, responsible for the design and production of mission critical, enterprise-scale business systems

  • Translating requirements into system design specifications and the implementation of systems throughout the entire software development life cycle

  • Developing a thorough understanding of the logistics business and risk management domains

  • Maintaining an awareness of evolving technologies in use by other teams at Expeditors and in the technology industry as a whole

Job Description

This role involves;

  • Facilitate and coach the ART through processes and execution to deliver value

  • Partner with the Product Manager and System Architect to maintain a strong narrative with clarity and purpose for the vision, strategy, and goals of the ART

  • Facilitate ART events including but not limited to PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, ART Sync, System Demos and Retrospectives

  • Identify, communicate and lead resolution of issues or risks to execution and delivery

  • Support the creation, communication, and ongoing evolution of the product roadmap

  • Understand high-level technical design and requirements in order to support execution of the plan

  • Influence and participate in release scoping

  • Partner with Product Management and GBO on release planning to the field

  • Develop and publish metrics to track ART progress and success

  • Lead teams in adapting to changes, new opportunities, and challenges that arise in relentless improvement of the ART

Minimum Qualifications

  • 9-11 years of Project or Program Management experience or Scrum Master/RTE

  • Driven towards relentless improvement

  • In depth knowledge of SAFe principles

  • A passion to lead, inspire, facilitate and communicate

  • Assertive personality, interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Drive/Execution oriented – “Practical Idealist”

  • Demonstrated success in leading complex and large team of teams

  • Able to facilitate meetings and coordinate across large groups of people

  • Ability to coach and mentor team members

  • Excellent oral, facilitation, and written communication skills with a broad audience

  • Strong understanding of a Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Lean/Agile concepts, and SAFe
