Product Manager - About the Role - You will be working in FCSD Tech IT, you will join a team that supports, develop and enhance warranty products application support and migration. You will work on a balanced product team to define, design, develop and deploy Pega DPA, Java, ETL and SQL related work. Additionally, you will conduct proof-of-concepts to support new features, ensure quality, timely delivery using Agile practices with existing Ford applications (i.e. OWS, WADR & SEDC).

Responsibilities:

• Works closely with Go to Market Leads (Business) to understand the business needs and establish/contribute to product strategy.

• Perform analysis on production issues as appropriate.

• Leads and reviews ongoing production software operations and troubleshoots production issues. Manage team members / roster & shifts to support application globally.

• Identify the opportunity to implement the tool that monitors application performance metrics and automatically notifies team when a failure occurs in production.

• Improves continuous integration tooling by automating manual processes within the delivery pipeline and improving quality gates based on past learnings.

• Participate in the planning, creation, and execution of business partner testing, acceptance testing and securing the sign-off from product owners.

• Interface with affected application teams to coordinate testing, when necessary

• Managing issues and risk including the development of contingency plans

• Establishing strong working relationship with project stakeholders such that plans, and requirements are fully understood, and issues are resolved effectively and efficiently.

• Communicating project status information, issues and risks to stakeholders as appropriate. Preparing and conducting governance

• Following appropriate change control and configuration management and audit controls.

• Perform/support internal and external audit regulatory.

• Work with the product teams to ensure business requirements are communicated clearly and understood.

• Can clearly communicate product vision / strategy to team members and stakeholders.

• Responsible for developing product features, prioritizing the backlog, and managing risks while ensuring the iterations and releases are meeting the business objective. Work with the business to ensure testing plans are robust and facilitate testing with internal and external interface teams.

• Deliver valuable, working, tested, quality software released at market speed.

• Agile personality and Software Craftsmanship mindset for contributing and leading the agile team for quality deliverables Engage in Agile practices including but not limited to Stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint demos and journey mapping.

• Perform financial management, forecast/actuals, work with supplier.

• Technical knowledge on SQL Server Database, Java & ETL

• Experience in or Understanding/Exposure of: CI, CD and Test-Driven Development

Additional Responsibilities:

• Has a thorough knowledge of the services handled by the Product Team and operation support.

• Uses agile techniques to deliver small, incremental changes continuously while working with the Product Manager and Product Designer to ensure customer needs are being met.

• Active participant in all team agile ceremonies:

• Backlog Refinement/Iteration Planning & Program Increment Planning

• Stand-up

• Iteration Closure

• Iteration Retrospective

• Provides input to product governance communications.

• Work with business to elaborate Epics, Sub-Epics, Features and in constant backlog grooming including backlog prioritization.

• Ensure appropriate use of processes, tools and methodologies.

• Responsible for product architecture, security, and product engineering.

• Acts as an advocate for developing clean, valuable working software.

• Helps to ensure the team understands how software can best be delivered by leading the team technically to implement the DevOps and SWC practices.

• Enable accountability.

• Own and facilitate ceremonies Has the ability to prioritize.

• Proactively foresee any roadblocks on the program and engage teams to acknowledge, address and helps to removes the roadblock.

• Work closely with PM to enable team to work.

• Creates chores and investigation items, identifies stories to be split up/improved.

• Establish trust.

• Screens candidates for placement onto product management team.

• Organizes team learning events and ensure knowledge sharing within team.

• Ensures effective usage of Rally and derives meaningful insights from Rally like Velocity of team, Iterations burn down rate etc to enable the team go further

BE, B.Tech, MCA

• Knowledge around Auto Warranty Domain (nice to have), Operations, Integration, Business Analysis & Project Management

• 15 + years of progressive experience in delivering and supporting applications.
