Citigroup Infra services Automation lead - Vice President in Chennai, India

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategy for infrastructure automation initiatives aligned with organizational goals.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the automation team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Automation Roadmap:

  • Define and prioritize automation opportunities across infrastructure functions, including network, server, storage, and security.

  • Develop a comprehensive roadmap for automation projects, considering short-term wins and long-term transformational goals.

Project Management:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of automation projects within scope, budget, and timeline constraints.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions with existing infrastructure systems and processes.

Technology Evaluation and Implementation:

  • Stay abreast of emerging automation technologies, tools, and methodologies relevant to infrastructure management.

  • Evaluate potential automation solutions, conducting feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to support informed decision-making.

  • Oversee the implementation and deployment of automation tools, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and security standards.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of automation initiatives.

  • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and challenges associated with automation projects, developing mitigation plans to minimize disruptions.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to data privacy, security, and governance.

Team Development:

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing automation team, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.

  • Provide regular feedback, coaching, and support to team members, empowering them to excel in their roles.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience (12+ years) in infrastructure management, with a focus on automation, preferably in a senior leadership role.

  • Extensive knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including cloud computing, virtualization, networking, and storage.

  • Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Ansible, Chef, Python, OpenShift, Shell Scripting, Terraform, or similar.

  • Experience on Tableau, Power BI, Grafana , Jira

  • Strong stake holder management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and drive initiatives to successful completion.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Certified in relevant ITIL, Agile, or DevOps certifications is a plus.
