Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead engineering activities working in a multidisciplinary environment that calls for a broad scope of technical proficiencies, covering Desktop Application and Backend Developments.

  • Responsible for the full lifecycle, from implementation to testing to user acceptance to release.

  • Develop product SDKs, demo applications, and supporting utilities for connected IOT devices.

  • Develop an application framework with complex dependencies.

  • Reviewing the code and identifying areas where the algorithms can be improved to reduce execution time or memory usage.

  • Experience in bundling all the necessary files, resources, and dependencies of the application into a single executable or installer file.

  • Write test-driven, maintainable code and follow industry standards and best practices.

  • Gather requirements and create technical specifications as needed.

  • Implement new features and maintain existing features of the production pipeline.

  • Work with architects, project managers and other engineers to ensure accurate timelines and deliverables.

  • Collaborate with fellow engineers to find elegant, long-term solutions as well as creative quick fixes to problems.

  • Document code and create high-level interaction diagrams.

  • Participate in on-call support rotation.

  • Handle tier-3 support issues.

  • Be comfortable working with source control branching strategies.

  • Working in a high-velocity, agile team.

    Technical Requirements (Skillsets):

  • Proficient in relevant desktop programming languages. C# and .NET preferred.

  • Must have experience developing desktop applications interacting with hardware peripherals.

  • Expertise in developing resource-intensive applications with low-level system interactions.

  • Expertise in applied cryptography and key management is desired

  • Knowledge of communication interfaces over JTAG, SWD, UART, SPI, and I2C is desired.

  • Knowledge of RFID industry standards such as ISO7816, ISO14443, and ISO15693 is desired.

  • Exposure to IOT technologies, security, cryptography, and RFID is desired.

  • Experience with the backend services interaction via RestAPI / MQTT / webhooks is desired.

  • Demonstrate strong flexibility to adapt to new technologies and changing project requirements.

  • Possess a passion and curiosity for new technology and innovation.

  • Demonstrate the ability to reduce complex ideas and problems into clear concepts and solutions.

    Experience and/or Education Qualification:

  • An undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required, with a graduate degree preferred.

  • 8+ years of overall experience in the Application/Solution Development

  • Experience building desktop applications targeting hardware integration

  • Hands-on understanding of scalability, security, high availability, and operational requirements

  • Possess a passion for new technology and innovation.

  • Experience with the full product lifecycle

  • Experience with Atlassian suite: Jira, Confluence, etc.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
