Technical Skills. Python/Pydantic, Django/Django REST Framework, Docker, AWS knowledge of JavaScript, web front-end technologies (React/Redux, TypeScript, Vite, node.js etc.

Functional & Technical / Skills

Extensive system development knowledge with Python/Pydantic, Django/Django REST Framework, Docker, AWS ▪ Applied knowledge of JavaScript, web front-end technologies (React/Redux, TypeScript, Vite, node.js etc.) ▪ Knowledge of relational database and caching technologies (e.g. PostgreSQL, Redis) ▪ Applied knowledge of software engineering best practice and software development methodologies. e.g. XP, Scrum, design patterns, SOLID principles, Test Driven Development, Object Oriented design and implementation, APIs (REST etc.) ▪ Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g. pytest) ▪ Experience with configuration and build tools (e.g. GitHub, Jenkins, Concourse)

What you'll do:

Help to build Cloud based services and applications that form part of our Group Content Platform. • Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from initial analysis & design to implementation and post launch support. • Contribute to and maintain the platform on which the service runs, including the full path to production. • Enhance and support existing production applications / platform. • Responsible for contributing to and helping shape technical direction, while delivering day-to-day in a delivery team • Design, develop, test and support new micro-service applications; that scale predictably, facilitate development across multiple developers and teams and promote maintainability and extensibility. • Offer advice and guidance around design, architectural decisions and code quality. • Maintain and contribute to software delivery principles and guidelines based on internal Sky standards and industry best-practice. • Enhance and support existing production applications / platform. • Once sufficiently trained, provide 2nd line support for production services, as part of team rota
