Position : Cloud Engineer III

Job Purpose :

As a Database Developer III, you will design, develop, and maintain complex database solutions. This role involves leading projects, mentoring junior developers, and architecting scalable and high-performance database systems that underpin critical business operations.

Essential Functions :

• Advanced Database Development:

• Architect, design, develop, and maintain advanced database solutions.

• Lead the creation of database schemas, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and other database objects to meet business requirements.

• Performance Optimization & Tuning:

• Identify and rectify database performance bottlenecks, optimizing query execution and system efficiency.

• Implement indexing, query tuning, and other techniques to enhance database performance and scalability.

• Database Integration & Data Management:

• Integrate databases with other systems, applications, and data sources to ensure seamless data flow.

• Manage data import/export, transformations, and synchronization to maintain data integrity.

• Security & Compliance:

• Implement database security measures, including role-based access control, encryption, and auditing.

• Ensure databases comply with relevant data privacy and regulatory requirements.

• Documentation & Best Practices:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of database designs, schemas, and configurations.

• Mentor junior database developers, promoting best practices, and ensuring consistent development standards.

• Innovation & Continuous Learning:

• Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies, tools, and best practices.

• Advocate for the adoption of new features and methodologies to improve database performance and functionality.

• Collaborative Engagement & Leadership:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address database requirements.

• Lead database-related projects, providing guidance, mentorship, and expertise to junior developers.

Education:

• Four years of college resulting in a bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Experience:

• 7-10 Years

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in database development and database architecture.

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in database development and database architecture.

• Profound expertise in database scripting, query optimization, and performance tuning.

• Strong understanding of database design, data modeling, and indexing.

• Experience with database integration and ETL processes.

• In-depth knowledge of database security and compliance.

• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor and guide junior developers.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and microservices architecture preferred

Supervisory Responsibility :

This position does not have employee direct reports but does serve as a "lead" role for others doing similar work.

Work Environment :

This position is in Chennai / Bangalore / Gurgaon.
