Job Overview:

Monitors repairs and rebuilds to ensure they are performed properly, safely, and economically. This role will be working in offshore vessel.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for refusing unsafe work and for carrying out all work in accordance with the established safety standards and work practices

• Following all company policies and procedures, and ensuring all subordinates comply with the same

• Wearing, inspecting, caring for, and replacing required personal protective equipment

• Ensures all mechanical maintenance is performed in accordance with Company policies and

• procedures, equipment manufacturer’s recommendations, the Equipment Operating Manual, and regulatory requirements and codes

• Oversees modifications to the equipment and structure; ensures modifications are approved according to Company policies and procedures before operation

• Performs troubleshooting and repair of equipment, directly or through subordinates

• Performs daily visual inspections of equipment and diagnoses actual and potential malfunctions; ensures potential hazards and abnormal operating conditions are addressed quickly, and that any deteriorating conditions are reported to the 1st Engineer

• Initiates analysis and identifies the root causes of failures in equipment and systems

• Ensures records and documentation for general maintenance, operation, and repairs are kept accurate and up-to-date

• Monitors equipment logs to ensure operating and maintenance standards are maintained

Essential Qualifications and Education:

• Mechanical Engineering Certificate or similar vocational certification\

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a mechanic

• BOSIET

• Valid Medical Certificate of Fitness

• STCW Reg

• VI-6 – Security Familiarization
