Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and analytical Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join GRU Tech. The BI Analyst will transform data into actionable insights, enabling strategic decision-making and operational excellence. This role involves designing and implementing data models, generating insightful reports, and fostering data-driven cultures within the organization. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with collaboration tools like Confluence and Jira.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
o Design, develop, and maintain BI reports and dashboards using tools like Tableau, or similar. Tableau certified individuals will be greatly preferred
o Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Data Modeling and Integration:
o Build and optimize data models to support reporting needs.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
o Work closely with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
o Translate business needs into technical specifications for BI solutions.
- Process Improvement:
o Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in BI tools (e.g. Tableau, QlikView).
• Strong SQL skills for querying and transforming data.
• Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and ETL processes.
• Hands-on experience with Confluence for documentation and collaboration.
• Experienced with Jira for task and project management.
• Understanding of statistical analysis and data visualization principles.
Experience:
• 5-8 years of experience in a BI Analyst or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) and data modeling.
• Experience delivering analytics solutions to diverse business functions.
Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical findings to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills
Certifications (Optional but Preferred):
• Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate
• Tableau Desktop Specialist
