The VendSys administration support person is the focal point of contact regarding the VendSys software. They provide support to the operational management and administrative staff in using the software. This individual is a vital player in the team that converts operations from other vending management systems to VendSys. This person will also play a significant role in tracking the company's compliance data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains the list of users and their level of responsibility/access to perform tasks in VendSys.

  • Works directly with the software programmers to meet Five Star’s needs and software development requests.

  • Trains local administrative staff to update and maintain their database.

  • Trains local staff to be able to run and analyze the reports available in the software.

  • Troubleshoot issues that arise in the field.

  • Works with the IT department on computer and/or handheld functionality issues.

  • Helps generate reports for the compliance department.

  • Assist with the management team's training on how to dig into the issues.

  • Develop training programs on the different aspects of the software.

  • Provide testing of new software versions before rolling it out companywide.

    Qualifications:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements below represent the required knowledge, skill, and/or ability.

    Education and Experience:

    Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year College or university; and (2) Three to five years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Reasoning Ability:

    Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with multiple variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

    Other Qualifications:

  • Must possess strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Able to handle high-stress situations and make difficult decisions.

  • Able and willing to travel regionally and company-wide, as needed, in position. Travel may require overnight stays away from home.

  • Must possess great urgency and follow-through to deliver best-in-class support to all Five Star branches.

  • Must be creative and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, deal with conflict, and arrive at a beneficial and appropriate solution.

  • Ability to promote a culture consistent with the company's stated goals, values, and mission.

  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to present information to employees and company leadership.

  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
