We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the healthcare industry, located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. You'll be joining our dynamic team where you'll play a crucial part in the financial statement process, maintaining the general ledger, preparing complex account reconciliations, and assisting with annual external audits and tax filing preparations.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the finance team in the maintenance and preparation of the general ledger for accurate financial data flows.

• Serving as a primary contact for annual external audits and tax filing preparations.

• Performing research and analysis of financial statement activity, including high-level financial projections and cash flow forecasting.

• Handling a high volume of transactions and preparing complex account reconciliations.

• Participating significantly in the monthly general ledger closing process or related activity/analysis.

• Supporting areas of focus such as Cash, Investments, Treasury, Non-Patient Receivables, FF& E, CIP, JV, Debt, Benefits, etc.

• Participating in the development of departmental policies and goals.

• Assessing department activities and making recommendations for process improvements.

• Carrying out other duties as directed by the Manager of Accounting.

• Utilizing skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, Audit - Financial, Corporate Income Tax.

Requirements

•CPA Required

Possess a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant in the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industry

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation practices

• Skilled in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Experienced in conducting Bank Reconciliations

• Ability to manage and maintain the General Ledger

• Capable of handling and recording Journal Entries

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for financial management and reporting

• Experience in Month End Close processes

• Knowledgeable in conducting Financial Audits

• Experienced in handling Corporate Income Tax matters

• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Able to work independently and as part of a team
