Senior EHS Specialist

Location: Tennessee - relocation offered

Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior EHS Specialist to oversee and manage the environmental, health, and safety programs at our client's manufacturing facility. This role is critical in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment, compliance with regulations, and fostering a proactive safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety laws.

• Develop, recommend, and implement safety policies and procedures.

• Ensure compliance with OSHA and state safety regulations.

• Create and maintain safety training materials, presentations, and safety data sheets.

• Participate in safety audits, investigations, and inspections.

• Manage specific safety objectives for each department.

• Stay current on industry trends and innovations.

• Represent health and safety interests with employees and provide necessary training.

• Assist in emergency management procedures.

• Maintain compliance with environmental requirements, including hazardous waste and storm water management.

• Lead industrial hygiene monitoring in manufacturing areas.

• Assist in maintaining plant security plans.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, or related field with 4-6 years of relevant experience.

• Experience in working in a facility with 500+ employees.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Excellent attendance, work record, and customer service skills.

• Strong work ethic, integrity, adaptability, and flexibility.

• Basic understanding of ergonomic principles.

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience in a health and safety role in manufacturing.

• Certification in a specialized EHS field (e.g., Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, Environmental Engineering).
