Robert Half Financial Analyst in Chattanooga, Tennessee

Description

We are offering a unique opportunity for a Financial Analyst in the Insurance industry. The position is based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and provides an IMMEDIATE opportunity to get to work. The Financial Analyst will be intricately involved in various aspects of financial systems, reporting and accounting, with a focus on problem-solving and process improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial data and prepare financial reports for decision-making purposes

• Actively participate in the review and recommendation of financial reporting processes

• Conduct research on financial systems and processes, contributing to system understanding and efficiency

• Participate in project management initiatives

• Leverage accounting knowledge and technical system understanding to complex financial operations

• Drive process improvements and problem-solving initiatives with minimal direction

• Work closely with the IT division to develop and enhance cloud financial operations

• Handle ambiguity and unknowns in processes, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills

• Utilize various software systems, including Workday and Microsoft Excel, for data entry and analysis

• Monitor budget processes, understanding variances and their impact on the budget.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with Data Mining Techniques

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Knowledge of Budget Processes

• Skilled in Financial Analysis and Financial Analytics

• Proficiency in Financial Reporting

• Experience in Process Improvement

• Knowledge of Workday

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Demonstrable ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports

• Ability to identify trends and recommend improvements accordingly

• Able to maintain and improve financial policies and procedures for the company

• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate financial information effectively

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational and planning skills

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Professional certification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus.
