Position Summary:

The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in our client's transportation company by monitoring weather conditions and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a willingness to learn systems and processes pertaining to logistics and the impacts of severe weather.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor weather forecasts and conditions affecting transportation routes and destinations.

Assess potential risks and impacts of adverse weather on transportation operations.

Communicate weather-related information to drivers, dispatchers, and other relevant personnel.

Coordinate with drivers to adjust routes or schedules as necessary to avoid hazardous weather conditions.

Provide guidance and support to drivers navigating through challenging weather conditions.

Maintain accurate records of weather-related incidents and their impact on transportation operations.

Requirements:

**Must have flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex weather information to non-experts.

Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and make data-driven decisions.

Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
