Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

The candidate will work in a team environment within a smaller company, wearing multiple hats as needed. They must be good with CNC lathe and mill set-ups, mechanical and technical adjustments, and be driven to learn and take on more with large machining to be effective. G&M code programming and MasterCAM experience is a significant plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and program CNC and some manual mills and lathes.

  • Learn and use various large machining equipment.

  • Utilize G&M code, conversational code, or MasterCAM for program adjustments as needed.

  • Perform own touch-offs and tool changes.

  • Read and interpret blueprints accurately.

  • Use calipers, mics, and other measurement tools for precision machining.

Essential Skills

  • CNC machining

  • Ability to perform own probing/touch-offs

  • Ability to perform own tool changes

  • Haas, Fadal, and/or Mazak machine experience

  • Solid familiarity with G&M Code

  • Experience with large machining

  • Ability to read blueprints

  • Precision measuring with calipers, micrometers, and gauges for quality assurance

Work Environment

Work in a nice, clean machine shop environment within a family-oriented company. The shop is temperature controlled and currently expanding its business line, experiencing significant growth. Traditionally supporting mold making, the company is now getting into automation machine builds.

Starting Pay: $22-$29/hr, depending on experience

Shift: 1st

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Weekly Hours: 40-45, maybe up to 50 on occasions

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $29.00/hr.
