Supervising Associate – Americas Alliances Marketing Event and Sponsorship Manager
EY is seeking a Sponsorship and Event Manager with a passion for delivering unparalleled events and experiences to external audiences. This role is responsible for the planning and execution of medium to large scale third party or EY-hosted virtual or in-person events. You will coordinate the end-to-end planning and execution process.
General Responsibilities:
Design and deliver events and experiences that build EY’s reputation and deepen our relationships with our clients, prospects and alliance partners.
Focus on negotiating sponsorship levels with approved funding levels; oversee contract compliance review process
Collaborate with key marketing and business stakeholders from planning through event execution involving creating and updating project plans and event deck, messaging, visual asset design or resizing, content development, invitation process, attendee strategy, budgeting, invoicing, coordination with PR and social media teams, development of internal communications plan, and post-event follow up
Support day-of execution including coordination with team/vendors, last minute logistical needs, ensuring effective set-up/execution of event and providing course correcting, providing instructions/directions, when needed; leverage event and project plans, playbooks, budget trackers and more for effective project management
Host regular planning calls with key stakeholders and event planning team
Manage and foster relationships with business, marketing team, vendors, compliance and other key stakeholders through effective communications, collaboration, and engagement with purpose to deliver a "best in class" event experience
Work seamlessly with our Global Travel Meeting & Events Team on event logistics including reception venues, virtual events, and more
Team with external booth vendor (s) to ensure quality and on time deliverables
Leverage all EY brand components in event and sponsorship activities
Perform post event duties such as post event debrief and recap report, expense processing, invoice reconciliation, event success assessments and assisting with next steps such as providing feedback to team/vendors to improve process
Serve as brand ambassador
Skills & Experience
5-8 years of related work experience
Detail-oriented, with excellent project management, financial acumen, and negotiating skills
A startup mentality with a bias toward action and the ability to flex in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to ideate and create new events and experiences, based on business need
Capable of working across the organization and cross-functionally to produce exceptional results
Strong understanding and practice of external event strategy ideally in B2B environment
Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills
Experience working in both virtual and in-person event environments, and with managing internal and external teams
Knowledge and experience with A/V, and online event platforms and tools (web/mobile) for digital, live-streamed, and in-person events
Positive and motivated self-starter; solid decision-making skills
High performer with a can-do attitude and strong project management and organizational skills, detail orientation, ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment, and experience influencing and building relationships with diverse stakeholders
Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
Travel required
What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $72,100 to $147,200. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $90,200 to $153,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
