A Chattanooga success story is seeking an Accounting Manager for their corporate offices. The Accounting Manager will manage a large team through general ledger duties, month-end close, financial reporting, and the budgeting/forecasting process for one of its divisions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the workload to ensure timely closing process and review the work to ensure accurate and complete reporting

• Developing staff and reviewing work to ensure accuracy

• Review the budgets/forecasts and update on changes

• Review the financial statements to ensure accuracy

• Working with the team on process improvements and providing guidance on changes to the day to day operations

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting

• Deep knowledge of operational accounting

• Month-end close experience

• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel

• Financial Statement Preparation and Monthly Financial Statements review

• Skill in creating Month-end Journal Entries

• Experience with Accruals

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• CPA or related certification is preferred
