We are looking for a talented manufacturing engineer to oversee, improve and document manufacturing processes. The manufacturing engineer's responsibilities include identifying and continuously improving the manufacturing areas and processes, soliciting observations from operators, maintaining high level of product quality, designing new products and processes, as well as ensuring cost-efficiency while in compliance with regulatory standards, while maintaining a safe work environment. An outstanding senior manufacturing engineer should be able to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for safety, quality, maximum efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. To be successful as a manufacturing engineer you should be able to work effectively within a team and independently. Senior Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities: Lead a small cross functional engineering team (mechanical/electrical/software) by documenting new products processes, utilize their problem-solving skills to improve existing products. Strategically evaluate existing and new manufacturing processes to identifying areas for improvement with highest ROI. Problem solving efforts and coordination of corrective actions with other departments and implementing sustainable solutions. Managing design documentation release on assigned projects. Developing and updating detailed layouts for equipment, process flow. Work directly with production personnel to remove roadblocks on the production floor. Developing and implementing cost-saving measures and quality control systems. Ensuring manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety standards and legal regulations. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering and 8+ years of progressive professional experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering. Preferred Requirements: Specific experience in semiconductor equipment or similar high complexity, fully automated capital equipment. Experience evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery. Experience in the application of lean principles is critical, certification. Experience using CAD (Creo and/or SolidWorks), SAP S4HANA, Teamcenter, CAM, data analysis programs, and related software. Experience creating work instructions, 3D model based instructions. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. High level of formal problem solving skills. Strong organization and management skills. Strong analytical thinker. Ability to work in a Class I semiconductor clean room. Ability to occasionally travel, including internationally. Physical Requirements: Job duties are performed in an office setting or in a clean room environment. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds is required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing. May require the use of Personal Protection Equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous element or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc. Occasional overnight travel to TEL factory, training facilities and customer locations may be required.
