University of Virginia Neuro-psychometrist (Adult) in Charlottesville, Virginia

Administers and scores a battery neuropsychological and psychological tests of cognitive and neuro-psychiatric functioning. Gathers data and make computations. Position involves working with adults with significant neurodegenerative disorders. Some of these patients will have concomitant psychological or psychiatric disorders.

  • Administers and scores a battery of neuro-psychological and psychological tests of cognitive and neuro-psychiatric functioning.

  • Completes applicable evaluation materials with the patient.

  • Maintains testing supplies and materials.

  • Assumes responsibility for professional development of self and contributes to and assists with the professional development of others.

  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

  • Bilingual preferred

Position Compensation Range: $23.76 - $38.02 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Experience: No experience required. Preferred experience working with children of all ages, experience with standardized psychological test administration, knowledge of behavior management techniques for eliciting on-task behavior in children, hild development coursework in undergraduate or graduate school, Detail-oriented and organized approach

Licensure: None required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing and sitting for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping and reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs. May be exposed to radiation, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

  • Experience working with older adults

  • Experience with standardized psychological test administration, knowledge of behavior management techniques, statistical analysis and psychology coursework in undergraduate or graduate school.

  • Detail-oriented and organized approach and adaptable.”
