Director – Market Intelligence Commissions
The Team:
The MI Commission team is integral to the Market Intelligence division, managing and executing sales incentives for a division with over $4.5B in Revenue and approximately 1,500 employees on commission plans. As a global team spanning the USA, Canada, UK, and Pakistan, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences to our sales team. We ensure accurate and motivating commission plans, driving revenue growth and fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.
Responsibilities and Impact:
Lead the commissions team for Market Intelligence division ensuring plans are set and executed upon to motivate our sales organization
Partner with sales organization to create design changes and SPIFFs to accelerate results
Create operational efficiency within team, ensuring accurate data transfer from Salesforce to Xactly and adherence to individual commission plans.
Develop and implement process improvements to automate and enhance the accuracy of data ingestion and transformation, utilizing tools like Alteryx.
Establish and manage an efficient support process for commission inquiries, setting and achieving SLAs to enhance the client experience for the sales team.
Partner closely with the Customer Growth Office (CGO) to improve data quality.
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $121,757 to $213,964. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for a sales commission plan.

What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Extensive experience with commission software, particularly Xactly, and CRM systems like Salesforce.
Proven track record of leading operational teams and improving processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Experience working on a commissions team within a subscription-based company.
Experience leading a commissions team within a subscription-based company.
Experience with automation and process improvement initiatives in a financial operations setting.
Familiarity with other data analytics tools and platforms beyond Alteryx.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and client experience enhancement.
Advanced degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
What Success Looks Like in 2025:
Reduce the time required for the team to execute and QA the commission process, improving both the quality and timeliness of results.

Experience leading a commissions team within a subscription-based company
Experience with automation and process improvement initiatives in a financial operations setting.
Familiarity with other data analytics tools and platforms beyond Alteryx.
Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and client experience enhancement.
Successfully convert disparate commission processes into a unified system that extracts data from Salesforce, processes it through structured ETL tools like Alteryx, and loads necessary files into Xactly.
Document processes thoroughly to enhance role fluidity and ensure seamless coverage during PTO.
Establish monthly reporting on commission payments and performance, providing transparency into the drivers of results.
Develop the capability to deliver detailed insights into commission forecasts, ensuring clear visibility into P&L impacts.
Implement a clear process for handling cases and exception requests from the sales team, with the ability to report on SLAs and customer satisfaction.
