About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Vice President - Lead Credit Portfolio Consultant in Commercial Real Estate (CRE) to execute against the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program and CRE wide Issues Management objectives in support of Wells Fargo's Risk Management Framework. This role will support the execution of the RCSA program and Risk Assessable Unit (RAU) owners during workshop execution and post-workshop activities across the CRE sublines of business, ensuring consistency. This professional will also drive CRE underwriting and portfolio monitoring related issues management. In this role, you will:
Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations
Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of the functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support the implementation of developed solutions and plans
Lead cross functional teams to strategize, plan, and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives
Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate which may involve escalations, communication and reporting as needed to senior leadership
Support and drive alignment of common and shared controls, assessing overlap between control environment and transformation initiatives while further solidifying control and line of business partnerships

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation, and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Credit Consulting Portfolio experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge and understanding of CIB products and activities
Knowledge and understanding of the Enterprise and CIB Risk Programs, Policies and Procedures
Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Prior exposure to compliance and risk control framework
Exposure to developing, implementing and / or monitoring a risk-based compliance program
Commercial Real Estate experience
Job Expectations:
Ability to travel as needed
Willingness to work on-site at 550 S Tryon St, Charlotte, NC in accordance with current office requirements
