Cummins Inc. Territory Sales - Inside Sales Representative in Charlotte, North Carolina

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Inside Sales Representative to join our team specializing in Sales for our Distribution Business in Charlotte, NC.

Job Summary:

Provide sales support for Cummins products and/or services throughout the sales cycle. May independently develop and capture opportunities for additional sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • Direct Sales: Convert inbound leads into sales, develop new opportunities, and drive repeat business through proactive customer engagement.

  • Sales Support: Generate leads, assist with sales operations, and maintain positive customer relationships to foster loyalty and future sales.

  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure a positive customer experience by adhering to the Cummins Sales Process from lead generation to closing sales.

  • Data Management: Update customer information and manage sales entries, ensuring accuracy in reporting and forecasting.

  • Business Growth: Utilize company processes and initiatives to expand business reach and enhance customer value and loyalty.

  • Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams to support customer satisfaction, achieve sales goals, and uphold company culture.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Industrial Distribution is preferred, or an acceptable combination of education and required experience.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

  • Experience in technical sales is relevant to the role, but not required

  • Experience with customer relationship software (such as Salesforce) is desirable.

  • Travel: Up to 10% is required.  

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range: $59,200-80,400

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
