Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the non-profit sector, based in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with a range of duties, from handling customer queries to maintaining accurate records, and more.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process credit applications from customers

• Keep precise customer credit records

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Perform bank reconciliations

• Maintain and update the general ledger

• Prepare journal entries and carry out month-end close

• Assist with the creation of Department SOP's

• Learn new roles and record trainings for SOP creation project. Requirements • Must possess strong knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) to manage outgoing payments and invoices.

• Demonstrated expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR) to handle incoming payments and client invoicing.

• Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.

• Familiarity with General Ledger operations for maintaining financial transactions.

• Capable of drafting Journal Entries to record financial transactions.

• Experience with Month End Close procedures to finalize financial transactions for the reporting period.

• Understanding of Department SOP's to ensure adherence to the organization's standard operating procedures.
