Lowe's Sr Analyst, Information Security in Charlotte, North Carolina

Your Impact

The primary purpose of this role is to lead the implementation and ongoing delivery of information security change enablement to support the success of information security tools and processes. This includes responsibility for creating, executing, and improving processes and procedures with limited direct guidance from more senior-level security associates.

This role will focus on preparing, supporting, and equipping associates to successfully adopt and use changes to processes, systems technology, and security requirements. This includes responsibility for creating, executing, and improving processes and procedures while also providing thought leadership and guidance to the rest of the department. 

This role has experience with complex and interdependent issues that span technologies, business units, and services and supports continuous enhancement of tools and processes.

The individual in this role has supported a variety of information security tools, technologies, or processes and demonstrates a track record of progressive hands-on security experience (security engineering, operations, consulting, other) and business acumen.

What you will do;

  • Answer questions from associates about the information security processes supported; handle more complex questions/issues elevated from other analysts on the team.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and make recommendations for best practices.

  • Translate and document technical security concepts, requirements, and solutions into easily digestible collateral for non-technical associates.

  • Serve as an escalation point and mentor for junior staff.

  • Contribute to and help maintain process documentation repositories.

  • Analyze data to detect trends, make recommendations, and provide reporting.

  • Foster and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and business partners.

  • Develop standard operating procedures; identify and suggest possible improvements to procedures.

  • Collaborate with management to determine information security metrics and lead the collection of information security metrics.

  • Maintain an awareness of information security news and trends.

  • Consolidate security-related findings, track OKRs, and present results to information security and business leaders and/or vendors.

  • Research current technologies to assist in the development of new capabilities and recommend solution options.

  • Advise users and team members on the execution of processes, interpret standards and regulations, and assist with solutions.

  • Assist with the training and development of more junior-level analysts as needed.

  • Provide mentoring and guidance to more junior-level analysts; may provide feedback and direction on specific tasks.

  • Mentor and coach other IT security staff to provide guidance and expertise in their growth.

  • Communicate security issues to a wide variety of internal and external “customers including technical teams, executives, risk groups, vendors, and regulators.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, Business Administration, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent work or military experience in a related field)

  • 4 years of experience in information security

  • Demonstrated operational experience in project & change management best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 years of experience driving information security change enablement and transformation initiatives

  • 5 years of experience identifying technical concepts and translating them to impacted stakeholders in unique and creative ways

  • Experience leading efforts without formal authority and delivering results through colleagues (same team & cross-functional)

  • Relevant information security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA)

Where You’ll Be;

  • Associates are required to relocate to the Charlotte region to foster collaboration and facilitate improved testing and support.

  • Lowe’s supports a Flex Office concept where in-person work is required two days per week at the Charlotte Tech Hub

  • Most business meetings are planned around the Eastern time zone.

Pay Range: $92,300.00 - $175,400.00 annually Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
