Honeywell Sr Advanced Project Engineer in Charlotte, North Carolina

As a Sr Advanced Project Engineer with Honeywell, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of innovative and cost-effective solutions for smart energy and thermal solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams, customers, and external partners to deliver high-quality products and services that meet the needs of the market and the business.

You will also mentor and coach junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and standards. You will oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, ensuring successful execution and delivery. Advanced process control software and outcome-based solutions and enterprise performance management. You will impact the success of our projects by driving efficiency, managing risks, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

You will report directly to our Director of Project Management and you’ll work onsite from our Raleigh, NC location.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Guide and manage advanced projects from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, within budget, and meeting customer requirements

  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring adherence to Honeywell NPI process i.e., Z21.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria

  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies

  • Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders, including senior management

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and methodologies

MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.

  • 8+ years of experience in project management, preferably in advanced technology projects

  • Strong guiding and communication skills

  • Experienced in applying Waterfall and SAFe Agile methodology

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget

WE VALUE

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Proficient in using Project Management tools such as Microsoft Project, Accolade, and JIRA.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
