Principal Financial Group Sourcing Consultant in Charlotte, North Carolina

What You'll Do

As a Sourcing Consultant at Principal Financial Group, you will have the opportunity to work on moderate-sized projects and initiatives independently while also assisting on large strategic projects. This role offers the chance to support overall sourcing objectives and contribute to the development of market and industry intelligence, innovation, and effective approaches. You will play a crucial role in ensuring internal compliance and supply chain policies, procedures, strategies, and guidelines are followed, promoting consistency across organizational operating units.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support overall category management objectives

  • Gain knowledge and understanding of market and industry trends, innovation, and effective strategies.

  • Support internal compliance and supply chain policies, procedures, strategies, and guidelines

  • Strive for consistency amongst organizational operating units

  • Analyze data for the purpose of inferring meaningful insights

  • Manage supply and demand planning, strategic sourcing, contracts, and supplier relationships

  • Support audit, compliance, and risk management efforts

Who You Are

  • To excel in this position, we are seeking someone with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, although 5+ years is preferred. Equivalent experience in the field will be considered in place of a Bachelor's degree, with a preference for a degree in supply chain management or a related business field.

  • You should demonstrate strong analytical skills and a solid grasp of supply chain management principles.

  • Your ability to think critically and make informed decisions will be crucial in this role, as you will be expected to independently solve challenges and influence various individuals within and outside the organization.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential, as you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with different individuals.

  • Your capacity to handle multiple tasks and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment will be key to achieving success.

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$77350 - $147600 / year

Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
