Principal Financial Group Senior Process Improvement Analyst I in Charlotte, North Carolina
What You'll Do
We’re hiring a Senior Process Improvement Analyst I to join our Transformation team. In this role, you’ll help solve the business's most complex problems by leading and mentoring process improvement efforts that deliver efficiencies, cost savings and improved customer outcomes! This includes identifying process improvements, modeling business processes and business decisions, and analyzing data and metrics. This role also may be involved in leveraging business architecture and facilitating to drive change across the respective business process.
Provide leadership in the identification and execution of process improvement opportunities in the areas of people, process, technology, and automation.
Perform process management analysis and design on often complex efforts to meet business strategy, working towards outstanding customer experience and operational excellence opportunities.
Influence senior leaders and departmental teams to drive change.
Think strategically in seeking the best opportunities to improve performance.
Drive data needs for process metrics and ongoing management of process health.
Work independently on multiple efforts with limited oversight by leadership.

Who You Are
We’re looking for someone with:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
6+ years of experience in a business process improvement or technology type of role
Strong understanding of business process concepts
Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical, presentation, and oral/written communication skills; strong group facilitation and elicitation skills
Ability to conceptualize, analyze, and understand complex problems and their organizational impact, as well as demonstrate creativity
Ability to build and maintain relationships, facilitate collaboration and communication, and work in a matrix environment while being adaptable, flexible, and maintaining big picture/conceptual thinking
Ability to embrace and understand the change process and effectively guides others through change
Ability to work with people of all levels, including external consultants and vendors
Additional preferred experience:
Certification or educational background in Business Process Management, Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Process Design
Knowledge of financial services
Experience supporting and influencing both technology and business teams
Technical proficiency including understanding of Excel, automation technologies such as IBM Business Process Manager and Robotics Process Automation
Work Environments
This role offers the ability for in-office, hybrid (blending both office and remote in a typical workweek), and full-time remote work arrangements. You’ll work with your leader to determine which option may align best based on several factors.
Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$77350 - $147600 / year
Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
