The investor relations team is accountable for leading our external relationship and communications to investors, analysts, and other key external stakeholders in the investment community. In this role, you will collaborate with the VP, Investor Relations, to develop and execute the IR strategy, operating plans, budget, and global IR program. You will serve as a resource to senior management to ensure the company effectively communicates its message with investors and other key stakeholders.

The Senior Manager, Investor Relations will be responsible for operationalizing and maximizing the effectiveness of key Investor Relations activities, including but not limited to:

  • Competitive intelligence and actionable insights generation

  • Board and Senior Management-level reporting.

  • The release of financial and public information

  • Certain environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) efforts

KEY DELIVERABLES

  • Lead and support the preparation of quarterly earnings materials (press release, presentation, prepared remarks, and other support materials). Collaborate with internal teams to obtain data and perform quality assurance on content.

  • Support company response to inquiries from the investment community.

  • Monitor and report on industry and peer company information and practices by tracking research reports, news, earnings calls and other relevant resources.

  • Work with third party partners to monitor stock trading and market activity.

  • Review equity research reports and analyst models to identify perception or communication gaps.

  • Compile investor feedback and perceptions to share with the IR team and management regularly.

  • Support development of and manage investor targeting program.

  • Support investor events including conferences, roadshows, and investor days, with investor presentations, briefing materials, fact sheets, etc.; also responsible for attending investor events in person or virtually.

  • Drive certain ESG initiatives with focus on disclosures enabled by effective tools/technology. Partner with ESG rating agencies to provide input for assessments, review and monitor ESG scores to ensure accurate representation based on the most up-to-date, publicly available information.

  • Develop strong relationships and collaborate effectively with key internal stakeholders including FP&A, Accounting, Legal, and PR/Communications

  • Maintain robust meeting notes and contact details in relationship management system, with support from IR Analyst.

  • Identify and communicate strategic and tactical ideas for the continuous improvement of the IR program including tools and services used to support the IR program.

  • Oversee investor section of the company’s website in partnership with third party administrator.

  • Collaborate in IR staff selection, training and development, team goal setting, and performance management.

TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL/PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES

  • More than 5 years of relevant Finance experience, with prior Investor Relations experience preferred

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the capital markets, as well as a thorough understanding of key metrics for companies in the industry

  • A clear and thorough understanding of the financial modeling techniques used by analysts to project a company’s operating and financial performance and the resulting value for its stock

  • Strong understanding of SEC laws and securities disclosure requirements, as well as filing requirements

  • A strong understanding of macroeconomics, capital markets trends, competitor activities, industry dynamics, and customer trends

  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of time, mainly domestic

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

Bachelors’ degree in finance, accounting, or economics required

MBA a plus

CFA or CPA a plus
