Wells Fargo Senior HR Systems Engineer in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

You will have the opportunity of working in a group of very dynamic and talented professionals primarily located in Charlotte, Minneapolis, and Chandler, who are responsible for developing and supporting Wells Fargo's Workforce Management applications used by our 250,000 team members and 84 lines of business. Over time, you will have opportunities to work with many different applications and learn different facets of HR practices.

This role will be providing engineering support for Workforce Management related systems, including systems supporting Workforce Planning. This role demands a focus on establishing and maintaining trusted partnerships, application portfolio leadership, effective team leadership, and delivering value for the business. In addition, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate competency in the areas of collaborative problem solving, effective consultation, and critical analysis of requirements and design.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments

  • Support the planning and sizing of development items for sprint planning

  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments

  • Develop, configure, and maintain integrations for assigned product(s) in Workday

  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures

  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals

  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 2+ years of HR systems experience (e.g. PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP or Workday)

  • 2+ years of business systems analysis or design experience

  • 2+ years of technology release or implementation experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of Workday development experience

  • Experience/Knowledge in Adaptive Workforce Planning, Modeling, Sheets, Reports and Dashboards

  • Knowledge of Adaptive security, permission sets, user groups, access rules

  • 3+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools

  • Experience in Integrations - EIB's, Core Connectors, Studio, Reporting - Report Writer, Advanced Reporting

  • Experience in setting up integration between HCM and Adaptive, User Sync and SSO

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience

  • Leadership skills including the ability to influence effectively in a matrix environment

  • Knowledge and experience operating in an Agile Scrum environment

  • Knowledge and understanding of HR technology solutions, products and requirements

  • Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability

  • Ability to shift priorities as work-flow/volume dictates

  • Wells Fargo software engineering experience

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology

$84,000-$149,400 (all posted locations)
