Staples Senior Financial Analyst II (Remote) in Framingham, Massachusetts

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives. Analyze complex financial information and provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes.

  • Prepare periodic (monthly, weekly, daily) reports & forecast on financial performance, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.

  • Establish relationships with business leaders and partners to identify & implement solutions to meet reporting needs.

  • Be the subject matter expert and trusted partner for a variety of finance related topics.

  • Effectively and efficiently convey results and ideas to a senior level audience.

  • Take initiative to drive high impact projects & financial reporting while working with a high degree of autonomy.

  • Be a key contributor toward process improvement – make recommendations to increase efficiency and effectiveness, and support implementation.

  • Ensure that financial systems adhere to organizational needs, collect input, conduct research, and implement system changes as necessary.

  • Act as the liaison for new or modified business systems integrations, ensuring responsibility for system upgrades, testing, and escalations of issues through end-user system testing and analysis with business objectives.

  • Advanced skills with MS Excel, MS Access, and accounting software.

  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and have flexibility to pivot and reprioritize at a moment’s notice.

  • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards.

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of progressively complex experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in analytical and/or financial-based areas such as business, finance, operations, or economics.

  • Experience working with visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and data modeling / automation tools (Alteryx, Snowflake, Power Query).
