Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant based in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. This role caters to the telecom industry and offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. The Sr. Accountant will execute a variety of accounting tasks, including account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations. Proficiency with Sage Intacct, Microsoft Excel, and General Ledger is necessary, along with the ability to manage month-end close procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Execute account reconciliation procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Perform balance sheet reconciliation, ensuring all financial data is accounted for and documented

• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify the company's financial records match the bank statements

• Utilize Sage Intacct for various accounting operations, enhancing efficiency and accuracy

• Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting

• Manage the General Ledger, verifying all entries are accurate and complete

• Oversee month-end close procedures, ensuring all accounting tasks are completed in a timely manner Requirements • Must have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in account reconciliation is mandatory

• Proficiency in balance sheet reconciliation is required

• Experience with bank reconciliations is a must

• Must have a thorough understanding of the general ledger

• Experience in the preparation and posting of journal entries

• Must have the ability to perform month-end close procedures effectively

• Proficiency in using Sage Intacct accounting software is a requirement

• Should hold a degree in accounting or a related field

• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy is required

• Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines

• Professional certification such as CPA is preferred.
