WHAT WE DO
Our corporate teams support our family of brands through managing the “back office” work so the team members who support in the production of our products can focus on making great tasting, innovative quality craft beverages. Our shared services team is made up by accounting/finance, human resources, marketing, and sales, who are all skilled in their space and share a love of craft beverages.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Senior Accountant is responsible for the accounting and financial analysis for the brewery operations for specific brands within the ABV family. Under the direction of the Controller, this individual will be responsible for the financial closing process and day to day accounting for the company.
Reports to: Controller
Prepare and post journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations in conjunction with the month-end close process.
Assist in the accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closes.
Perform detailed account analysis and general ledger account roll forwards.
Prepare management reports and provide variance analysis of results on a monthly basis.
Review areas within the general ledger for accuracy of reporting and GAAP/regulatory compliance.
Support operations in analysis and reporting of financial information.
Assist in the preparation of accurate federal and state beer excise and sales tax return.
Reconcile bank accounts on a daily transactional basis.
Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including posting invoices, making vendor payments, applying customer payments, and preparing deposits.
Ensure organizational compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls.
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process.
Other general accounting and month-end close duties as assigned.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
CPA or CPA Candidate.
Work Experience: 3-5 years’ experience industry accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
PC skills including Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and advanced Excel modeling.
Proficient use of automated general ledger systems and reporting tools (SAP, Orchestrated BEER) a plus.
Knowledge of finance, accounting and inventory control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Knowledge of federal and state beverage industry regulations and reporting requirements a plus.
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet required deadlines.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication skills, both internal and external, across all levels.
Team-oriented.
Ability to prioritize and work independently.
