Job Summary
This position is based in Charlotte, other Duke Energy Carolina locations will also be considered.
This position is to provide governance, oversight, and support of the Project Information Management program
within Project Management & Construction (PM&C) efforts involving major capital construction projects.
This position ensures that the alignment between any asset and its related documentation exists, and is
maintained from project design/development, construction and commission, and through complete turnover
with operations and ensures documents are incorporated into appropriate record repositories for future
retrievability. This position interfaces with project and station technical teams, corporate entities, external
suppliers, regional CM teams to manage high volumes of controlled documentation and data (drawings,
procedures, manuals, correspondence, schedules, plans, etc.) impacted by major changes to existing or
new generation and transmission systems and facilities.
Responsibilities
Train and collaborate with station, external suppliers, project teams, corporate and support organizations on PIM program fundamentals, process requirements, and related tools/applications
Collaborate with multiple internal and external teams to ensure adherence to PIM processes, quality contract requirements, and tool utilization
Ensure contracted PIM resources manage documentation and data through PIM processes and tool in a timely manner
Identify and resolve issues with processes, quality, standards, and tools
Drive to project and department metrics, budget and schedules
Drive to meet/exceed corporate, team, individual initiatives, goals
Drive Records Information Management (RIM) program oversight on RIM program requirements, record classification, record file location, and record retention schedules
Basic / Required Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of work-related experience or High School / GED and 5 years of work-related experience.

Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from various backgrounds
Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to effectively use computer-based applications such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, email, etc.
Advanced SharePoint user abilities
Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
Familiarity with construction terminology and processes
Ability to identify, preserve, categorize and organizing records for short/long term retrieval
Experience managing large volumes of documentation, versions, revisions, hierarchies and links
Flexible and adaptable; able to work in sometimes ambiguous situations
Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Project information management, project information management systems and or configuration management, SharePoint, SharePoint administration
Drafting/design experience; demonstrated SharePoint capabilities; demonstrated records/information management capabilities, demonstrated support for Major Capital Project's construction engineering and project support.
Working Conditions
- Office-based with frequent travel to PMC project sites, Duke Energy power generating stations, and other Duke Energy facilities as needed.
