Siemens Energy Process Reliability Engineer in Charlotte, North Carolina
A Snapshot of Your Day:
Siemens Energy is seeking a leader for our Combustion Products Division to innovate and improve our manufacturing processes and equipment reliability. This role requires a blend of project management, continuous improvement, and strong internal communication skills, alongside a mechanical aptitude and problem-solving prowess, to enhance production capabilities and drive excellence in the energy sector.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
Identify and support projects aimed at enhancing manufacturing capabilities, yields, productivity, and capacity, while integrating Lean Manufacturing principles where applicable.
Develop and deliver technical documentation, estimates, reports, and training materials to facilitate knowledge transfer and process improvement.
Provide technical direction and training to internal teams and suppliers, ensuring alignment with best practices and operational goals.
Monitor and analyze production and equipment performance metrics to maintain cost and quality targets, focusing on production yield and defect reduction.
Manage inventory settings and develop strategies to meet business goals, addressing stockouts and conducting root cause analysis (RCA) as needed.
Oversee asset management, including conducting audits, managing scrap processes, and training personnel, while also leading special projects as directed by management.
What You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, or an associate's degree with equivalent work experience is required.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in welding fabrication and machining; candidates with more experience may qualify for higher-level positions.
Familiarity with lean concepts, MRP systems, quality control systems, and predictive maintenance systems is essential.
Experience in a multi-disciplinary team environment, demonstrating effective collaboration and communication skills.
Proven leadership abilities, including assertiveness and coordination of timely actions within the department and with external stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications include EHS knowledge, experience with lockout/tagout procedures, equipment safety protocols, and routine maintenance experience; applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
About the team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
