The Opportunity

As a Presentation Designer Senior for the P&C Transformation Management Office , you will support Executive Management and Board of Directors to develop high-profile, powerful presentations that articulate compelling Executive messaging in impactful, engaging, innovative and creative mediums to varying audiences. Ensures all information is accurate and aligned to internal branding processes/procedures. Collaborates with other internal stakeholders, as needed, to deliver product in a timely manner and within applicable compliance guidelines.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, Chesapeake, VA or Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What you'll do:

  • Conceptualizes, designs, and builds impactful solutions of innovative complex and integrated visual/technical solutions to convey Executive messages to varying internal and external audiences.

  • Provides thought leadership in the assessment of messaging for engagement, usability, visual design, content, and branding.

  • Translates raw content and data into visually compelling presentations that simplify and enhance the speaker's main points ensuring alignment to corporate standards.

  • Engages with appropriate internal departments to obtain necessary information and data during the design and creative process.

  • Drives design innovation by recommending new technologies, techniques, and creative approaches.

  • Maintains cultural awareness of the design landscape with respect to current and future trends.

  • Prioritizes multiple initiatives to deliver projects on time.

  • Provides attention to detail and quality assurance of all deliverables.

  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Arts, Design, Communications or a related field required; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • 6 years of experience developing and designing presentation work.

  • Demonstrated experience developing high-profile presentations for large audiences, including executive leadership Demonstrated expert presentation skills in media technology such as PowerPoint, Photoshop, Prezi, After Effects, Flash, Keynote and designing for various output media.

  • Demonstrated expert ability to integrate editorial content with graphic and interactive media.

  • Extensive experience presenting and communicating creative strategies and concepts to cross-functional teams and/or leadership.

  • Advanced knowledge of financial service industry.

  • Expert understanding of marketing/advertising, user experience and/or interactive design principles.

  • Demonstrated ability to take flat words on a page and bring the thought to life visually.

What sets you apart:

  • Able to translate financial and other complex concepts into consumable graphics.

  • Ability to work within structured brand guidelines.

  • Experience working within financial or insurance industry.

  • Significant experience developing effective and compliant presentations and conveying a compelling message through graphic design.

  • Experience translating raw content and data into visually compelling presentations that simplify and enhance the speaker’s main points ensuring alignment to corporate standards.

  • Knowledge of military imagery guidelines

  • US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner

What we offer:

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location . The salary range for this position is: $81,770.00 - $156,290.00 .

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
