Packer - 1st Shift

$17.50/Hour

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Packer on the 1st shift. This position reports to the Crating Manager and involves assembling crates and stacking pallets to hold products. The ideal candidate will have some experience operating at least one type of lift and will be trained on forklifts and cranes.

Responsibilities

• Assemble crates and stack pallets used to hold products.

• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and measuring tapes.

• Confirm inventory count and accuracy.

• Complete required paperwork.

• Perform routine and minor maintenance on equipment.

• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.

• Assist with crate building and material packaging as required.

• Perform related duties as needed by the Crating Manager.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical skills

• Experience in a warehouse environment

• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools

• Attention to detail

• Good communication skills

• ERP knowledge

• Forklift operation experience

• Mechanical aptitude

Work Environment

This position is based in a non-climate-controlled facility within a distribution center. The ability to stand for the duration of the shift is required. The receiving dock can be cold in winter and hot in summer.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, North Carolina.
