Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing routine maintenance of motors and pumps to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and/or the physical condition of buildings do not deteriorate.
Use electrical test devices to troubleshoot and repair motor electrical control circuits.
Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them by checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
Use knowledge and skill with Building Automation Systems ( BAS ) to complete tasks as needed.
Look up and order parts using Google sheets and drive.
Minimum Experience / Education:
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from high school or equivalent. Experience in the trade(s) areas related to the position’s role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
University Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from high school or equivalent and two years’ experience. Experience in the trade(s) areas related to the position’s role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
Associate’s degree preferred.
Three years of professional motor experience preferred.
Experience using digital alignment tool.
Ability to effectively communicate the English language (reading, writing, interpretation and comprehension) required
Effective skills in verbal, written and interpersonal communications.
Computer literacy required. Knowledge and skill with Google Systems, Microsoft Word and Excel, and willingness to learn new programs.
Ability to effectively work/interact with persons from different backgrounds and cultures.
Ability to foster and create an atmosphere of teamwork.
