Overview/Scope of Position:
Corning’s Global Supply Management (GSM) team provides process benchmarking, standardization, and governance for the logistics, warehousing, and trade compliance processes across multiple ERP systems. In this role, Global Process Expert will serve as a strategic leader in optimizing and governing trade compliance processes within both the Global Trade Management (GTM) system and multiple ERP systems, translating supply chain & logistical requirements into technical system solutions, and recommending appropriate system settings, integrations and functionalities necessary to realize trade compliance opportunities. The expert will drive trade compliance process improvements, ensure adherence to international trade regulations, develop documentation to drive best practices, support SAP S/4 HANA deployment projects to align trade compliance with the organization’s strategic objectives. Lastly, Global Process Expert documents and transfers subject matter expertise and recommendations to power users responsible for executing the overarching supply chain steps in ERP systems.
Purpose and Major Responsibilities of Position:
Process Improvement Initiatives: Partner with Regional Trade Compliance Managers to identify and implement strategic initiatives to streamline trade compliance operations across GTM and ERP platforms, leveraging industry best practices to enhance performance and mitigate risks
SAP S/4 HANA Deployment Projects Support: Own and deliver trade compliance subject matter expertise and leadership in SAP S/4 Hana deployments, ensuring trade compliance requirements are effectively integrated into the new system
Process Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of trade compliance standard processes across GTM and ERP systems, ensuring clarity and consistency for stakeholders
GTM System Strategy: Oversee the strategic enhancements of the Global Trade Management system to strengthen trade compliance processes, ensuring seamless integration with existing ERP systems
ERP Integration : Formulate and execute strategies for integrating trade compliance functionalities across multiple ERP platforms, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and data integrity
Trade Compliance Systems Framework : Develop and implement a strategic vision for trade compliance systems framework that aligns with organizational goals and regulatory requirements, positioning Corning as a leader in global trade practices
Power Users Community : Delivery of subject matter expertise knowhow, training, and troubleshooting with end users while building up of power users in the businesses
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate with logistics, procurement, finance, legal, and IT teams to drive a unified approach to trade compliance, ensuring alignment with broader business strategies

Regional Trade Compliance Managers, Logistics Process Managers, Global Process Owners, operational logistics personnel, GLO / GSM / Division leadership
IT Director and Managers, Supply Chain and GSM Technology
ERP Transformation – PDLs, EPLs, MDM
Working closely with all BU global operations personnel including project managers / process owners implementing GSM / GLO strategy
Minimum Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Required
Bachelor's Degree in international trade, supply chain, engineering or related field
Minimum of 5 years work experience in configuring, deploying, and managingGlobal Trade Management systems (SAP GTS is an advantage)
Understanding of emerging technology solutions and trends that can enhance andstrengthen the tradecompliance processes
Familiaritywith international trade regulations, customs laws, and compliance requirements across various jurisdictions
Strong ability to document processes clearly and concisely, ensuring accessibility and understanding for all stakeholders
Experience with process improvement methodologies and ability to apply these principles to enhance trade compliance operations
Strong influencing, facilitating, and consulting skillset with stakeholders at all levels in the organization and across businesses
Ability to travel 20%
Preferred
Prior experience supporting SAP S/4 HANA deployment projects or similar ERP transformation programs is highly desirable
Background in developing and delivering training programs, with a focus on fostering a culture of compliance and continuous improvement
Familiarity with change management principles and methodologies to support the adoption of new processes and systems
Project management skills, with the ability to lead initiatives, manage timelines, and coordinate cross-functional teams.

The range for this position is $78,426.00 - $107,836.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
