Novant Health Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI Tech) in Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Summary

This MRI Tech position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of $15,000.

This position is 36 hours (ANTS), full-time with benefits, Friday/Saturday/Sunday, 7 pm - 7 am.

For this ANTS position, if you physically work these 36 hours and days/week, you are paid for 40 hours total.

The MR Technologist I will assist physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and safely operating the MR equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans. Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program, required.

  • Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in MR, preferred.

  • Licensure/Certification (required): NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR) within 6 months of hire. NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR). IV Credentialed. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 for life support training requirement. Applicable state license.

  • Additional Skills (required): Thorough knowledge of MRI imaging equipment, Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills.
